Amazonite is also called Amazon stone and is the only microcline that is a gemstone. It is potassium feldspar and has triclinic crystal structures. It  is known to encourage good luck and fortune. It is a beautiful turquoise blue color like the most tropical clear blue waters of the ocean. This stone is said to soothe tense situations and release aggravations to enhance loving situations. It ranges in color to pale greenish blue to darker green and also blue green like the turquoise pieces you see listed here in this bracelet. It is often also used to carve and is made into cabochons too. It's a 6.5 on the mohs hardness scale. It makes excellent jewelry but isn't faceted very often because it isn't transparent. It's more opaque. 

It is called Amazonite because it was often discovered near the Amazon river back in 1847 and possibly as early as 1701.
